Enhanced Edition and the Extended Edition provide you with opportunities and options not available with other boundary courses.
PBI has a proven history of assisting licensed professionals to move past boundary issues with compassion and understanding.
We are the most cost-effective boundary program in the US as well as the most accessible: your class will start immediately upon registration. We provide weekend conferences so you have less down-time - many of our programs go from 8am Friday through 5pm Sunday to keep from interrupting your busy schedule.
We have been CME accredited since 2003 and we are the only program developed and presented by a consortium of experts from across the United States to protect professionals and their patients, clients, students, staffers, and/or congregants. PBI was selected by the Federation of State Medical Boards in 2006 to provide webinar training to State Medical Board members on the topic of sexual and non-sexual boundary transgressions by licensees.
We have a large and diverse faculty and we are the only course in the country with integrated teleconference follow-ups that maximize your value from the course. We are also the only US program taught by a physician in recovery for a boundary violation.
Our standard course is the live, 24 hour, 3 day conference available throughout the year. However, different States and their regulatory boards mandate different educational requirements as part of their disciplinary orders.
To adapt to these requirements for course approval, PBI and the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine have pioneered the development of the PBI-50 Modular CME System, which allows us to link various courses and sub-components (modules) to create different educational programs tailored to the needs of all fifty States. Bundling various courses into customized programs allows us to offer superior education for less cost to you. The end result is the most cost-effective boundary /ethics education in the country.
The effectiveness of boundary education is its ability to be internalized and integrated into clinical practice to safeguard your patients and yourself over the course of your career. Efficacy dramatically improves when boundary education utilizes multiple teaching formats (online course work, home study, live conferences, and telephonic relapse prevention seminars / reviews) and shifts from the limitations of a single course to extended educational events with continued student- faculty interaction. To achieve this, we have interlinked different courses to create different options depending upon your educational needs and the requirements of your Board.
There are merits for Enhanced education and Extended education. There are many professionals who only need the Essentials but there are those who require or would benefit from “more.”
More is better, because your license depends upon it.
More is better, because your patients deserve more and your board expects it.
When preparing to go before the board, more is always better.
Proactive education means doing more.
