Terms & Conditions
Participants are responsible for signing in promptly at the start of the class and immediately after lunch each day, to ensure their attendance is accounted for. If a participant arrives late or leaves early, for whatever reason and at any point in time that the course is in session, the Course Director may place a temporary block on the participant’s Certificate of Completion. If a certificate is blocked, the Course Director and the participant will discuss a plan for making up the lost time in class, either through make-up assignments, completing pre-course assignments, and/or additional teleconference course hours. Upon the successful completion of the additional assignments, pre-course assignments, and/or teleconference hours, the participant’s Certificate of Completion will be released.
Participants are expected to be respectful of the other members of their class. If a participant is exhibiting disruptive behavior, they may be asked to leave. Disruptive behavior may include, but is not limited to the following: rude comments, making or accepting calls during class, harassing other participants or the instructor, bringing children or pets to the course (with the exception of registered service pets, with documentation), etc.
Registrations placed from within the US or Canada
Credit card refunds may only be applied to the credit card with which the order was placed.
Once course material has been made available to a course participant (via Precourse Portal access upon registration or otherwise) OR any course instruction has been rendered, the MAXIMUM REFUND allowed is fifty-percent (50%) of the course fee. NO REFUNDS are allowed unless notification of cancellation is received at least ninety (90) days prior to the first day of the commencement of the originally scheduled live event. All notifications of cancellation must be made in writing, by letter or fax. We may, at our discretion, allow payments that would otherwise not be refunded to be applied to registration in a future event.
NO REFUNDS are allowed for ONLINE and TELECONFERENCE courses. We may, at our discretion, allow online or teleconference fees that would otherwise not be refunded to be applied to the registration of another course.
Registrations placed from outside the US and Canada
NO REFUNDS are allowed for registrations placed outside of the US and Canada.
If you are not a healthcare professional (such as a programer, software developer, lawyer, etc.) and you want to attend a particular course, you will need to seek written approval from PBI prior to registration. You need to be transparent with your intentions and reasons for taking this particular course. PBI has the right of refusal. PBI is not responsible any additional expenses (hotel, travel, rentals) that occurred without the written approval from PBI and there will be NO REFUNDS.
Cancellation or Rescheduling
PBI reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient registration, and we will refund fees for any cancelled event. Upon your request, we will also refund fees if the event is rescheduled or location is changed, and you must cancel your registration due to the change. PBI shall have no further liability.
Online and Teleconference Courses
Attendees shall complete all online and teleconference courses within eight (8) months of the date of their registration. If an attendee does not complete the course within this time frame then the course registration will expire and no refund will be granted. If the attendee contacts PBI and wishes to continue and complete the course, they will be required to re-register and pay the full registration fee again. It is the responsibility of the attendee to complete the course within the allowed time. PBI is not responsible for reminding attendees to complete assignments or finish their course in a timely manner.
